Sri Siddhartha Education Society (SSES) was established in the year 1959 by Shikshana Bheeshma Sri H. M. Gangadharaiah, Founder Secretary with the blessings of Acharya Vinobha Bhave to provide education to the students of rural areas and backward classes. The Society which started as a residential school in a village near Tumkur then established several nursery, primary and high schools including Pali schools in the later years. Since 1959, the activity growth of the Society is truly phenomenal. This has been possible mainly due to the strong conviction, clarity of vision, determined plan of action, dedicated band of people and down-to-earth approach of the management.
Today the total number of institutions runs by the Society crosses 85 with a total students strength of more than 16000 and staff strength 1800. The main objective of the society is to “REACH THE UNREACHED” in the field of Education. The Society takes pride that the outgoing students of its institutions have all found successful career placements and a large number of them are positioned in Government Jobs. The Society presently manages over 85 institutions under its stewardship, the notable ones being: Engineering College, Medical College, Dental College, Center for Media studies offering PG Programs in Mass communication and Electronic Media, School of Nursing, College of Nursing, First Grade College, TCH Colleges, Training Institutes, Sanskrit Schools, Pail schools throughout Karnataka.
Sri Siddhartha Group of Institutions has grown to be the hub of higher education with excellent teaching facilities and highly qualified and experienced teaching faculty. With diversified professional courses, the range of subjects is wide giving a good choice to the students seeking admission here.
SSES has achieved its Golden Jubilee Celebrations in 2009 The Society to its credit has dedicated, long standing teaching and non-teaching staff members in its institutions.

He holds Ph.D in Agricultural Science from Waite Agricultural Research Institute, University of Adelaide, Australia. He was also a fellow of the Indian Institute of Agricultural Technology. Able leader, reformer, facilitator, motivator and a down to earth pragmatist, he believes that education must have practical applications to be valuable.
He is the Secretary of SSES. For Dr Parameshwara, good education is imperative for the welfare of humanity. Sri Siddhartha Centre for Media Studies (SSCMS) is the brainchild of Dr G Parameshwara.
Message From Secretary Desk
It’s a pleasure to welcome you to SSCMS for pursuing higher education in M.S Communication and M.Sc. in Electronic Media. SSES became one of the premier educational centers in the country with the support and blessings of many well-wishers and friends. A single school establishment in the late 1950s has now grown into nearly 100 schools and professional colleges ranging from Medical, Dental, Nursing, Engineering, Management school, and SSCMS which is exclusively for Media studies.
Media education is all about practice with the right amount of theoretical knowledge. At SSCMS you will get a chance to home your skills using the labs and studios. The much needed theoretical foundation will also be given. The library is well stocked with media books, English and regional newspapers and magazines. State of the art of TV Studio has become a common feature in media schools. What sets the SSCMS TV studio apart is the fact that it is also a full-fledged production house. You will also have the opportunity to take part in the numerous ongoing production activities. Radio Siddhartha-90.8 FM, the community radio station also helps the students to voice their talent through air.
Computer assisted language learning is made possible through the establishment of Language Lab. Siddhartha Sampada, weekly Siddhartha news, Focus newsletters(SSIT) is the arena for practicing the techniques required for the print media, especially reporting, writing, editing and pagination. I am sure that this will take the Centre to new heights in terms of both academic and professional growth.
I hope that the advanced facilities we have will give an impetus to new ideas and instill in you the courage to face challenges with confidence and do well in life.
